Chief Mate Phase I fees

Who takes this course

This course is for Second Mates who already hold a Second Mate (Foreign Going) Certificate of Competency issued by the Government of India and have completed at least nine months of sea service after obtaining it. It is the first of two preparatory phases officers take at Eurotech Maritime Academy on the way to a Chief Mate Certificate of Competency, not a first-time or mandatory basic safety course.

After the course

Completing Phase I moves the officer on to Chief Mate Phase II, the next preparatory stage in the same qualification track offered at the academy. It does not itself carry a certificate of competency; that comes only after the DG Shipping examinations further along this route.
