Maritime Courses for Candidates from Mumbai (Bombay)

Train in Kerala, and make the journey count. Candidates from Mumbai come to our Kochi campus for DG Shipping approved courses, and Mumbai is well connected to Kochi by air and rail. This page lists the courses at our Kochi campus and how to plan the trip.

Where the campus is

Kakkattikara, Panchayath Road, Kizhakkambalam, Ernakulam, Kochi, Kerala 683562

Every class, workshop and simulator session runs here — this is Eurotech's only campus, so training from Mumbai means coming to Kochi.

Courses at our Kochi campus

Make the trip count

Batch dates are fixed well in advance, so a course booked from Mumbai can be planned around rather than squeezed in. The Kochi campus sits inland in Ernakulam district, with Fort Kochi and the harbour on one side and the backwaters at Alappuzha and the hills at Munnar within a few hours' drive. Candidates who travel a long way often take a few extra days at either end. Ask the admissions team for the next batch dates and for help with accommodation before you book travel.

Getting here from Mumbai

The campus is in Kizhakkambalam, in Ernakulam district. The nearest airport is Cochin International Airport and the nearest major railway stations are Ernakulam Town and Ernakulam Junction, all within an easy drive of the campus. Tell the admissions team you are coming from Mumbai and they will help you line the journey up with your batch dates.

Direct flights connect Mumbai to Cochin International Airport in about two to two and a half hours, the usual way candidates travel down for training. As batches begin on fixed dates, most candidates book a flight arriving a day before the course starts. Pre-sea candidates typically stay in the academy's campus hostel, while those on shorter courses usually find a lodge in Kochi or Aluva.
