STCW Full Form

STCW stands for Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers.

Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers is the international convention setting the minimum training, certification and watchkeeping standards every seafarer must meet. In India it is administered by the Directorate General of Shipping, and the training that satisfies its basic requirements is the Basic STCW Safety Training Course (BST – PST, PSSR, EFA & FPFF).
