Who takes this course

For deck officers holding a 2nd Mate certificate of competency (Foreign-going) or above, who already hold a TASCO (Advanced Training For Oil Tanker Cargo Operations) certificate. It is a simulator-based course in liquid cargo operations for officers serving, or intending to serve, on oil, chemical or gas tankers.

After the course

It gives officers practical experience in loading, discharging, ballast management and emergency response for liquid cargo operations at management level. It builds on the academy's Advanced Training For Oil Tanker Cargo Operations (TASCO) course and supports officers moving into tanker management roles.
