For the whole course of 10 days, paid at booking.

Who takes this course

CHEMCO is for officers who hold, or have completed the sea service required to sit for, a Certificate of Competency, who already hold the Basic Training for Chemical Tanker Cargo Operations certificate, and who have at least three months of approved sea service on chemical tankers within the last sixty months. It is an advanced course, not a basic or first-time qualification.

After the course

Completing this ten-day course and its exit exam qualifies the officer for advanced, management-level cargo responsibility on chemical tankers.

Course Overview

The CHEMCO course equips marine officers and crew with the advanced skills and knowledge required to safely manage and execute cargo operations on chemical tankers. This STCW-compliant course covers specialized cargo handling systems, safety procedures, pollution control, cargo compatibility, and emergency response for hazardous chemical transport. It meets the requirements of STCW Regulation V/1-1 and DG Shipping guidelines.
