Who takes this course
Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities is one of the mandatory basic STCW courses, aimed at seafarers holding an Indian Continuous Discharge Certificate and INDoS number who are entering sea service for the first time.
After the course
Completing this four-day course and its exit exam satisfies one of the mandatory basic safety training requirements under STCW 2010 for going to sea, alongside the companion basic courses Elementary First Aid, Personal Survival Techniques and Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting.

Batch Strength Policy
As per D G Shipping Training Circular No 4 of 2018 MTI’s are directed not to conduct any batch, if the batch strength is less than 25% of the approved intake capacity granted by the Directorate.
