Summary
We are hiring a TOTI-qualified Workshop Instructor to lead mechanical practical training at our Kochi campus. The role suits an experienced Merchant Navy Fitter, or an ex-Navy or Coast Guard instructor qualified as a Mechanician or Engine Room Artificer.
What you’ll do
- Conduct practical training in fitting, machining and mechanical maintenance.
- Demonstrate the correct use of tools, machines and measuring instruments.
- Guide students through practical tasks and assess their performance.
- Keep training records and look after workshop equipment.
- Ensure safety and discipline in the workshop.

Maritime qualifications
- TOTI faculty approval
Other
- Merchant Navy Fitter with at least 5 years' sea experience, or an ex-Navy / Coast Guard instructor qualified as a Mechanician or Engine Room Artificer (ERA)
- Practical knowledge of fitting, machine shop work and mechanical maintenance
- Able to explain and demonstrate practical tasks clearly
- Able to commute to or relocate to Kochi
Good to have
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
